Police Prepare to Move
We are looking to move at the beginning of December '07 and will be closing the Lammas Croft office down when we go. Until the actual day of moving however, the present office will be remaining open and available to anyone who requires help or assistance.
Outbreak of Criminal Damage
There has been a huge rise of reports of Criminal Damage in the Whitnash Town area in the last month. This has mainly involved the use of weapons such as air rifles, bb guns, catapults and sling shots. These have caused a great deal of damage in the area and is also extremely dangerous and potentially fatal if an unsuspecting bystander were to get in the way of a shot.
Any reports that are received by the Police that involve, or are suspected to involve, a firearm may result in an Armed Response Team being sent to it.

Speed Guns Deployed
At the last Safer Neighbourhood Panel meeting it was decided that speeding in the Whitnash area had become a priority that needed immediate attention. The deployment of the speed gun is just the first of the measures that are being put in place to combat this problem. Plans are in place to use the gun at irregular times in order to avoid a pattern in its usage and to ensure that different times are covered by the operators.
Advent Advice
During the run up to Christmas there is always an increase in the number of house burglaries across the country. Because of this we firmly advise people to NOT put their Christmas presents under the tree as it can be seen as an invitation to burglars who may be passing and would otherwise leave your property alone.
Also, as in every year Warwickshire Police will be holding road stop checks throughout the county checking the roadworthiness of vehicles, driving licences, insurance, tax, and, where necessary, doing roadside breath tests for alcohol.
