Whats Happening in Your Area?
There have also been concerns raised regarding people cycling on the pavement and not giving way to pedestrians. We are now conducting patrols in the arease we feel suffer worst from this and are advising cyclists accordingly.
The Safer Neighbourhood Panel meets on the 30th of January where the new policing priorities will be discussed and decided upon. These priorities will be published on this site as soon as they are known.
SmartWater Now Available
SmartWater, the forensic science crime deterrent, is now available at your local Police office. The kits, containing enough SmartWater to protect all valuable items in the average home, would normally cost over £25 if bought from a high street supplier. However, due to Warwickshire Police subsidising the costs it is now available for only £15 per kit (cheques made payable to 'Warwickshire Police').
Bike Marking Results
On the 12th of January 2008 the Whitnash SNT held a bike marking session at Warwickshire Direct - Whitnash. This event was well received and attended and resulted in 29 cycles being marked there and then. The distinctive stickers have since been noticed throughout the town by our colleagues and also by local councillors.
The bike marking facility is always available at the Whitnash office when the officers there are free to do it. The service is free and is a proven crime deterrent.
