Team leaders
Richard Woodcock was born and grew up in Kenilworth, pursuing a 9 year career in Engineering before joining Warwickshire Police in Oct 1982, and being posted to Warwick. He has worked extensively on the Warwick District in a uniform capacity, supplemented by attachments to the CID and Child Protection departments and a two year spell in the north of the county at Bedworth. He has experience as a Police Training Manager and as Duty Inspector for the Force Control room at HQ. Richard took up his current posting as Sector Commander for Warwick, Kenilworth and surrounding villages in 2003 and is passionate about Community Policing. In his private life he has three children and spends any spare time carrying out DIY on his home, riding his Harley Davison motorcycle and enjoying his collection of vintage motor vehicles. He has also taken part in a variety of cycle ride challenges, travelling all over the world raising funds for the charity MENCAP.
Sgt. 177 Gary Holtby is our Team Leader. He brings with him a wealth of police experience having worked in a number of different areas, mainly on the Warwick District. His main career emphises over the years has been working in uniform for communities. Gary is also the Team Leader for the Warwick Rural Eastern Safer Neighbourhood Policing team ."
Team members
Nathan used to work as a hospital porter and he did that for just over two years prior to joining Warwickshire Police. Nathan decided to join Warwickshire Police as a PCSO because he wanted to get to know the local community more and he thought this would be the perfect job.
Paul has spent many years in the automotive industry working at senior management level with a number of companies gaining years of experience dealing with customers, industrial realtions, training and development and disciplinary incidents to mention but a few. Paul decided to become a PCSO because he wanted to use his experience gained in the automotive industry with a view to making an impact on the local communities.
Carl has worked for many years with British Airways as a duty manager; he also brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience working within the inner city areas of Birmingham for the last 27 years as a Special Constable with West Midlands Police. Carl is looking forward to working with the community.
PC Brennan brings a wealth of knowlege having spent the past 10 years working on a reactive shift out of Leamington Station. PC Brennan is looking forward to working with the local community.
Ken is the most senior member of the team. He is a former regular soldier who spent over three years serving on active service overseas during his eight year military career. He will have twenty-three years service in October this year and has served in numerous roles on the northern and southern areas of Warwickshire, as well as having served two years away on overseas Police Missions in the Balkans. Ken believes continuity is very important on any team, and hopes to spend the remaining three years of his career serving the Warwick Rural West Community.
