NHW WK James Duncan and Alay Kifle Jailed for the robbery of a man in High Street, Leamington
Duncan James, 21 years, or Prospect Road, Leamington Spa has been sentenced to six years and Alay Kifle, 17 Years, who in March last year was living in Sir Toby Belch Drive, Warwick, has been jailed for four years after they appeared before Warwick Crown Court last week where they pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm and robbery of Dean Bremner.

The court heard how Duncan, who was well known to Mr Bremner, and Kifle attacked him in an alleyway off the High Street in Leamington, kicking and punching him as he lay on the floor, after they had stolen a mobile phone from him.

As a result of the attack Mr Bremner required hospital treatment for injuries including a broken arm. His arm now has a metal plate and despite three bone grafts has still not healed properly.

Police recovered various items from the alleyway where the attack had taken place including a traffic cone which it is believed was used to hit the victim over the head. The OIC in the case was DC Carl Buckley overseen by DS Andy Smith and DI Sue Taylor
