Special Constabulary
The Warwick SNT consists of Police Officers, Police Community Support Officers and also Special Constables. There are currently two specials attached to the Warwick team. These are SPC Emma Hickenbotham and Kimberley Warwick.
The Special Constabulary are all volunteers who give up some of their free time to put something back into the community. it is not only a very important role but also a highly rewarding one. The Specials receive training in self defence, powers of arrest and the the law surrounding common offences. They have the full powers of Police officers when they are on duty, including the powers to arrest, search and issue tickets. Specials come from all walks of life and are required to do at least four hours a week on average. If you are interested in finding out more about the Specials, please see the local information section of this website or visit www.warwickshire.police.uk/ careers/specialconstables.
