Man charged with arson at flats in Warwick

Police have charged 23 year old John Ellard from Newland Road in Leamington Spa with arson with intent to endanger life following a flat fire that occurred in Raynsford Walk, Warwick at approximately 12.45pm on Sunday 10 June.
Ellard was arrested on Sunday after officers were alerted to the fire by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Following questioning he was charged with arson late on Monday evening 11 June and remanded in custody to appear at Leamington Magistrates Court today Tuesday 12 June 2012.
