Alcohol Related Violent Crime
The aim of this priority is to reduce levels of alcohol related violent crime within the Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Area, particularly during the weekends of Friday and Saturday evenings / nights/ and early hours. With the aim of reducing the number of incidents also comes the aim of reducing the fear of such crimes within the community.
1. Maintain a good working relationship between Police, Warwick District Council and Pubwatch, to ensure the smooth running of the scheme, and to have early indication of troublesome persons, to remove from the town centre and consider bans. 2. To ensure a good relationship between Licensees and the Police / Warwick District Council - to identify an issues at an early stage, to use co-operation to put practises in place to prevent further impact on crime and disorder within the premisies. 3. To look intrusively into any new or varied license applications to consider the cumulative impact on the crime and disorder within the town centre. 4. To work closely with Warwick District CCTV to identify situations early, and enable police to have an early intervention into potential disorder situations and prevent violence at an early stage. 5. Tasking of police to hotspot locations based on intelligence lead briefing. 6. To make full use of ASBO / CRASBO's and exclusion orders for persistent offenders.
