Violent Crime -: A robbery occurred in Abbey End Carpark at approximately 1250hours on Tuesday 6th May 2008. Males approached a female and threatened her with a knife and stole a large quantity of money. a silver coloured vehicle was used by the offenders to leave the scene. CID are appealing for witnesses any information please call Warwickshire Police on 01926 851 111 and quote incident 275 of 06/05/08.
Burglary Dwellings have occurred, one on Cromwell Lane and another on Castle Hill where the back door was forced and a computer stolen.

Theft Offences -: We have had a theft of a wheelie bin on Brookside Avenue it is believed that the bin was last sighted been pushed by two youths on Thursday 24 April. Do you know these males? If so give us a call or email us from the home page and quote incident 182 28/04/08
Rowdy/ Nuisance youth incidents -: We have taken two reports of nuisance youths in Abbey Fields the most recent been 02/05/08 where youths were drinking Police attended but area search proved negative. Residents who live on Queens Road had there wheelie bins emptied onto the pavement causing a mess this occurred on 02/05/08 can you identify them? if so email the team. Albion Street, School Lane, Greville Road, have been locations of only one nuisance youth related incident.

Rowdy / Nuisance Youths incidents -: Pipers Lane reports of youths drinking underage near to the recycling centre Police attend and confirm youths are not in drink. Bodnant way a youth was smashing beer bottles on the road at 0126 hours on 27/04/08. Police attended no sightings of male.
The team shot into action and fired out a good result.
On the 8th of April 2008 Police received a call from the Arthur Rank Centre in Kenilworth. A member of staff from the centre whilst on his break was stood outside the centre when a pupil drove past in a friend's vehicle and pointed a firearm out of the window at the staff member. The initial reaction from the staff was that this was a real firearm so Police were called to investigate.
Police made further enquiries and established who the offender was. This lead to him being arrested for possession of a imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. The youth fully admitted the offence whilst in custody and received a final warning for possession of a imitation firearm in a public place. The item used turned out to be a BB gun, which has now been destroyed.

Police would like to advise parent's and youths that B B guns look almost identical to real firearms and innapropriate use can cause alarm and distress to members of the public.
Shop Lifter found guilty at court.
A male and a female entered Somerfield Stores in Kenilworth. They both selected various items including a bottle of Whiskey and made off from the store without offering payment. An officer from the team attended the store and viewed thier internal CCTV system. The officer recognised the male offender on CCTV and as a result arrested him, as enquires continued the female was arrested for Theft and interviewed. The female received a Police Caution. The male however was charged to court and was found guilty of Theft and ordered to pay Somerfields £24.00 compensation. A fine of £75.00 and costs of £80.00. Both the male and female were heroin users and committed the offences to feed their heroin addiction.
Please note that all persons arrested and taken into police custody are given the opportunity to speak to a drugs worker and seek help to overcome their addiction.

Criminal Damage -: On Moorlands Avenue a garden wall was damaged by an unknown person this occurred between 10am on 26/04/08 and 1030am on 27/04/08. Incident 310 27/04/08 relates.
Theft -: A moped was stolen from Fishponds Road and abandoned in Oaks Road this occurred between the times of 2115hours and 2217 hours on 03/05/08. Are you able to help police locate the offender if so email the team and quote incident 297 03/05/08. On Leamington Road a touring caravan was stolen worth about £900 it was last seen on 22/04/08. On Bullimore Grove a black cycle was stolen from a back garden.

Rowdy / Nuisance youths -: The most calls of this nature related to Oaks Road at 2am 04/05/08 there was a male in drink shouting abuse he was arrested by officers for been in possession of an offensive weapon. Also on the 04/05/08 there was a male on a moped no helmet causing a disturbance. On 07/05/08 at 1643 hours youths on scooter being anti social, no trace upon police attendance. Warwick Road on the 27/04/08 some youths were reported to be causing noise and a nuisance, police attended no trace.
