During the afternoon of Tuesday 19th January 2010 officers from the Kenilworth SNT carried out static speed checks in Glashouse Lane Kenilworth. Three motorists were stopped and issued with endorsable fixed penalty notices for travelling between 39 m.p.h and 42 m.p.h in the 30 m.p.h zone. A further four motorists were stopped and cautioned for speeds ranging between 32 m.p.h and 35 m.p.h. again in contravention of the 30 m.p.h zone.

This is another example of officers striving to protect our communities from harm and complies with a locally agreed priority in relation to speeding motorists.

Officers will continue to carry out random speed checks at designated locations
