Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team at the heart of the community.
Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team have been busy helping various community groups and partners with the hectic schedule of public events at this time of year. In the last few weeks we have had to Police huge numbers of people for the annual fireworks event at the castle and the Remembrance Day celebrations. Both events required meticulous planning in terms of traffic congestion and diversions, public safety, and risk assessments for for all kinds of potential threats and hazards. As a result both events were a huge success, with the fireworks drawing in around 15000 people and the Remembrance Day Parade around 1600. In the coming weeks we have further commitments at the switching on of the Christmas lights at Warwick Road and High Street. Luckily in Kenilworth we have a large number of Special Constables who give up their spare time to help us Police these large events and we are very grateful for their help. We look forward to seeing you at the remaining events in the run up to Christmas. If you are interested in becoming a Special Constable and part of the team here at Kenilworth then please drop in to the Station for more information.
