Delivering the Right Service First Time.
Warwickshire Police has launched a new scheme at its control room, the scheme will now categorise all 999 calls so incidents can be handled more effectively and in order of priority calls will now be assessed as either an emergency or priority or now a third option of an appointment. As usual emergencies will be attended immediately while priority calls will be attended to within 60 minutes, appointments will be seen within 48 hours at one of 9 police stations in the county. An "appointment car" will travel to those with appointments that can not make a station visit.
Warwickshirepolice reduced reported crime from 124 incidents per day down to 103. this is a 17% drop for the year, Warwickshire Police hope the new scheme will help further improve on this.
