On different days from 18.00 hrs to 22.00 hrs Warwickshire police have joined forces with the Warwickshire Fire Brigade to patrol all areas in Kenilworth ,Leamington , Whitnash & Warwick, to visit the locations of previous low level fires. These are mainly small grass and waste bin fires caused by youths in an anti- social manor.
If we come across such incidents, we will engage and take details of the offenders and if damage is confirmed, we will charge them. On Sunday 31/7/11 five youths were seen running from a lit waste bin in Newbold Common, we caught the youths moments later and they will be dealt with accordinly, the fire officer gave a stern warning to the youths, of how serious their action was.
The ASBIT patrols will continue throughout August, if you have seen any low level fires , please report to the Fire Service (999)
