The Week That Was 15th February to 23rd February 2009
This is the regular newsletter for the Warwick Rural EAST team. (WRE SNT)
There have been 42 incidents reported to Warwickshire Police and recorded on the forces command and control system. Out of those incidents:
· Rowdy/nuisance incidents: 0
· Road related (incl RTC and breakdowns): 5
· Theft (incl theft from motor vehicles and burglary incidents): 8
· Damage incidents: 1 Neighbour Disputes: 2
· Suspicious Circumstances: 4 Domestics: 2 Alarms: 0

The team are concerned with parking around schools at the morning drop off and afternoon pick up.
For the safety of the children and parents that attend the schools on are area, the team asks that the following rules stated in the Highway Code be adhered to.
· No Parking within 10 metres from a junction
· Not parking opposite a junction
· No Parking on bends
· Not Parking on both sides of the road causing an obstruction
· No Parking on the path (blocking the path so disabled users and parents with pushchairs can not get through)
· No parking in the Hatched Areas
The team will be visiting schools at these times to offer advice and warnings for road users being inconsiderate, to the above and the safety of the Children.
Incidents for the Warwick Rural East
Wk-20090217-0173-Criminal Damage- Radford Semele
Between 1800 Sun 15/02/09 and 1000 Tues 17/02/09 a large motor home parked on a farm storage site off the Southam Road was damaged. The lights were smashed and the whole of the bodywork was covered in dark spray paint. This was the only vehicle damaged out of a number of caravans and mobile homes parked at the site.
Wk-20090217-0228-Shed Burglary-Radford Semele
Overnight Mon 16/02/09 into Tues 17/02/09 a secure garden shed to a house in Offchurch Rd. was broken into by the padlock being forced. A high value Mountain bike was stolen. Wk-20090218-0177-Shed Burglary-Offchurch
Sometime in the previous 6 weeks three sheds to a house on the Welsh Rd were broken into. Boxes of wine and garden power tools were stolen.

Bet. 2000 and 2315 on Wed 18/02/09 offenders forced the padlock to a double width wooden garage door to a farm in the village. A petrol strimmer was stolen.
Wk-20090220-0722-Burglary dwelling- Cubbington
Bet. 1830 and 2300 on Fri 20/02/09 a house in Ledbrook road was broken into and cash stolen from a bedroom. Offenders used a ladder to reach an upstairs window that was forced to gain entry.
Wk-20090221-0407-Burglary stable block-Hunningham
Bet.1100 on Thur 19/02/09 and 1515 on Sat 21/02/09 offenders have forced the padlocks to two stable blocks on the Offchurch rd.. Two hedge trimmers and a chain saw were stolen.
