Green fingered thief: As you will see from some of the incidents below a number of properties have had garden plant pots/baskets stolen etc. If you do not wish for any objects that you believe to be of value to be stolen from the fronts of your property, may we suggest that they be moved into the back of your property. It may sound silly but time and effort is put in to make your gardens look aesthetic, is it worth it to have your hard work be taken away.
STUDENTS PLEASE READ FOLLOWING ADVICE:
A number of bicycle thefts have occurred, please do your best to secure your bikes as best you can. If you have any indoor storage, this would be ideal as there out of sight and it makes possible thefts harder.
Also a number of damage to and thefts from cars have occurred. Please make sure all valuables are taken out of your vehicles and nothing is left in sight. If not you are dramatically increasing the risk of your property being stolen or damaged.

KEEP ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS LOCKED WHEN YOUR ROOM IS VACANT. Even if your only going to the kitchen/bathroom for a couple of minutes. It only takes that amount of time for an offender to commit an offence. Laptops have been stolen, which contained coursework. IS IT WORTH LOSING ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK, AS WELL AS YOUR VALUABLES. KEEP VALUABLES OUT OF SIGHT. For crime prevention advice please feel free to contact us, your Safer Neighbourhood Team (WRE SNT) Contacts at the end of the newsletter.
