Snakes Alive!
PCSO Ian David was on hand when a 3.5 foot corn snake was found in Kenilworth recently.
Ian is keen on animal welfare and because the RSPCA were busy he attended and took the snake to Di Houlder who runs the Animal Ambulance in Leamington. She runs a voluntary service helping people with animal medication for pets and transport to vets, as well as looking after other animals.
She looked after the snake for a couple of days until the RSPCA collected it.

Youths arrested for jumping on a vehicle.
In the early hours of Wed 5th September 2007 a resident in Beauchamp Avenue, Leamington Spa saw some youths jumping on the bonnet of a vehicle parked in the street. They called Police giving a detailed description of the group who had walked off up the road. Police attended and stopped a group of 3 youths nearby in another street, 1 female and 2 male, all of which were arrested on suspicion of causing Criminal Damage.
A key factor in the arrest of these three was the description given by the witness to Police. Minute details are not always possible, but things like the Ethnicity or number of suspects (2 male and 1 female) and colour of clothing (i.e. one with dark top light bottoms and one in all black)and any distinguishing features ( one carrying a rucksack or wearing a cap or wearing glasses) make a difference in identifying suspects.
