Two Local Youths Arrested for Graffiti
Two Local Youths Arrested for Graffiti At approximately 13.30 hours on Sunday 10th February a member of the public called the police as they saw 2 youths in the process of spray painting graffiti on a public car park just off Valley Rd.

PC LUND of The North Leamington SNT attended the scene where the 2 youths were identified to him and subsequently arrested.

Both youths admitted their part in the graffiti but state that the majority was already there.
A decision will be made on what further action will be taken with the youths on 25/02/08

This is a good example of how important the public are in helping us tackle Anti-Social Behaviour and Criminal damage. One phone call from a concerned resident resulted in 2 offenders being identified and arrested.

We would erge any member of our community to call the police if you witness any crime as soon as you can. Please do not assume someone else will, the sooner we are called the more chance of a good result.

Bogus/Rogue Traders Surgery
Bogus/Rogue Traders Surgery On Thursday 17th January 2008 PCSO PRIESTLEY attended Lillington Library in partnership with a member of Warwickshire County Councils Trading Standards Department to outline the various issues surrounding Bogus Callers and Rogue Traders. This was a very informative morning where members of the public were able to advise us of any potential scams they had fallen victim to in the past as well as receiving essential crime prevention advice.
Approx 20 local residents attended throughout the morning, with some good feedback and information being exchanged.

Another Vehicle Seized - Binswood Area
Another Vehicle Seized - Binswood Area In the early hours of the morning on Tuesday 26th February 2008, a vehicle that had been described just a short while earlier driving erratically was pulled over by officers. They spoke to the driver and carried out Police checks on both the vehicle and driver. These confirmed that both the driver and vehicle had been previously warned about driving in "an anti-social manner" and issued with a formal warning under section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002.

These powers allow Police Officers to seize vehicles from those who drive without due care and in an anti-social manner, who having been warned continue to drive in such a way up to 12 months after the previous warning.

There was also CCTV footage to further supporting the fact the driver had been driving erratically on this occasion, the vehicle was seized and recovered.
The owner will have to pay around £125 for the vehicle to be released, plus an additional £15 per day it is kept stored.

Upon further inspection of the vehicle, a small amount of class C drugs were found. This will be investigated further by officers.
