The spring months mark the beginning of the growing season and see an increase in activity in the garden. Historically this also sees the national peak in thefts from gardens and sheds. Many householders will purchase new garden tools and machinery and leave such items in relatively insecure sheds.

The objects of this initiative are;

To deliver practical crime prevention advice to householders with garden sheds;

To encourage householders to employ sound security methods to protect their property;

To help reduce the occurrences of theft from gardens and sheds.
