In the March Forum it was established that Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicle in the Campion Terrace area was a growing problem. On 23/24th April a large number of vehicles were scratched in the Lansdowne Circus area, leading to the development of Operation Greengates. This ongoing operation is a two-pronged approach to reducing criminal damage, looking the offences that have already taken place and patrol tatics to prevent further offences from occurring. A wide range of methods are being used, combining a number of different resources and early indications are a significant reduction in Criminal Damage in this area of this type.
