Richard joined West Midlands Police in 1997, where he worked on the Neighbourhood Policing and Response teams, within the Solihull area. He also spent some time on a plain clothes vehicle team and trained in the use of covert surveillance. Richard transferred to Warwickshire Police in 2001 and worked on a uniformed response team based at Stratford. In 2003 he joined the SNT team at Stratford. In 2005 Richard was promoted and worked at Leamington spa, in the role of Custody Sergeant. In 2009 Richard came back to Stratford and worked as a reactive Police Sergeant. Richard now works as an SNT Sergeant again, covering the Stratford, Wellesbourne and Southam areas. The teams are each covered by a beat manager, PCSO’s and Special Constables, who address community issues. In his spare time Richard enjoys mountain walking, which he has done in Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons.
Sam joined Warwickshire Police in October 2013 as a Police Support Volunteer. When not working with the Southam SNT he is a student studying Psychology, Sociology and Law. Sam is a willing and enthusiastic addition to the Southam SNT.
PCSO Taylor has been a PCSO for Warwickshire Police since 2006, She very much enjoys community relations and the pratical side of working with the public. She has done various charity work supporting Multiple Sclerosis, Leukemia Research and the Katherine House Hospice.
Special Constable Danny Carter-Walford joined Warwickshire Police in 2011. Danny's ambition is to join the force as a full time Police Officer. Currently Danny is a trainee deputy manager at a local convenience store. Danny is working to gain more experience as a special and looks forward to getting out into the local community.
Jamie joined Warwickshire police in 2004 and has spent 10 years policing the communities as a reactive officer in and around Rugby. He is also trained as a public order officer, who's skills are utilised during events where public disorder is anticipated. He is a local to the area and is looking forward to getting to know and work with the people within Southam and the surrounding villages. In his spare time Jamie coaches an under 10's football team and tries to put on a brave face when his favourite football team (Manchester United) put in another poor performance!
PCSO Amanda Preston has been a PCSO since 2004. Amanda is the newest member to the Southam Team after previously working in SNT's in Rugby and Leamington. She brings a wide wealth of knowledge to the team.
Police Special Rosie Lee joined Southam Safer Neighbourhood Team in May 2011, she previosuly worked in Kenilworth Safer Neighbourhood Team and has worked for Warwickshire Police for seven years. Rosie has a real passion working in the community and being involved. In addition to being a Special Rosie works in I.T for a hair and beauty company.
