I joined Warwickshire Police in 1992, I have been in front line uniform policing since then and as a Sergeant since 2003. I'm currently the Sergeant for the Shipston Safer Neighbourhood Team. I am married and have two grown up sons.
Team members
Joined the Special Constabulary in 1991 after initial training joined the Wellesbourne section. Mike has experience of working both reactive duties and on SNT's, He is trained in a number of areas which assist the team in their day to day policing of the area, he has direct first line supervisory responsibility for the specials on both Wellesbourne and Shipston teams and encourages those specials on the team to commit to working regular duties. In his spare time Mike enjoys sailing, However at present he is working on setting up of his own company. Richard joined Warwickshire Police in the year 2000, experiencing emergency policing, rural community based policing, and public order. He is also a tutor constable. Richard has a BSc(hons) in Biology. Richard is seeking a challenge in his spare time.
Hayley joined the team from an administrator background for three years. Hayley studied at Brighton University a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology. Hayley quoted "I am looking forward to getting out onto my beat and working with my community. I enjoy getting to know new people and can not wait to get involved with community issues."
Andrew comes from a customer focused background working within the retail environment. "I have found the past 12 months very rewarding, with some fantastic results and am very much looking forward to the challenges of the next 12 months."
I have been a Special Police Constable since for over 15 years. I have worked with the Shipston SNT for most of this time and have police many events including the Shipston Proms, Global Gathering and the Bulldog Bash. I am a keen ornithologist and spend many weekends away enjoying this hobby. I enjoy getting out into the community and dealing with key issues such as speeding and neighbour disputes.
I joined Warwickshire constabulary as a special in September 2010. After initial training in Stratford, I have recently joined the Shipston team and I'm looking forward to all of my experiences to help me become an independent special, and also working as part of a great team and community. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, going to the gym and spending time with my dogs.
Thomas joined Warwickshire Police in July 2008 as a Special Constable and has gained valuable experience working alongside the regular officers of Shipston SNT. Thomas has lived in Shipston and the surrounding areas all of his life. He trained in Shipston as an Apprentice Engineer and has worked his way up through the ranks as a Development Engineer, Project Manager, Designer and Lecturer in Motorsport. Thomas has studied Lean Manufacturing at Coventry University. Thomas enjoys using his spare time to relax in his caravan or riding his motorbike. Thomas is keen to make a difference to his local community to reduce crime and the fear of crime
Born in Kineton and have lived in local area all my life. Am a Civil Servant. Married with three daughters. Oldest 22, youngest 16 months! Joined Warwickshire Special Constabulary summer 2006. Enjoys working in the local area and has had a lot of satisfaction working with Shipston/Wellesbourne regular SNT officers whose patience, expertise and help has been very much appreciated. Also enjoys policing large scale events such as the Global Gathering and Shakespeare's birthday etc. Favourite past times - walking the South West Coast Path, especially in Cornwall, eating and spending time with his family.
I joined Warwickshire Special Constabulary in Sept. 2010. After completing my initial training I was posted to the Stratford District helping to police my local town of Shipston On Stour. In my time as a Special Constable I have worked a balance of reactive and SNT shifts enabling me to experience a range of different situations, scenarios and people throughout my local community. I am relishing the challenges ahead and hope to realise my dream of becoming a regular Police Officer in the future. In my spare time I am an avid tennis player having played inter-collegiate tennis in the USA and competed at a national level as a junior.
