17 December 2009 16:00

Incident 51 of 17 December

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted burglary at the Princethorpe Service Station on the A423 Coventry to Southam Road at the junction with the Fosse.

Two offenders have pulled onto the garage forecourt in a vehicle at around 1.15am this morning, Thursday 17 December and tried to force the doors and windows with a crow bar.

They have been unsuccessful and have then left in the same direction they came from back towards Southam. The vehicle is possibly an Audi TT.

PC 1629 Dave Adderley said “This is a busy road even though the attempted burglary occurred in the early hours of the morning, someone may have driven past and seen something.”

"Please call me as soon as possible on 01788 541111 voicemail 11629 if you can help police progress our enquiries."

You can also provide information anonymously to help police solve this and other crimes by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
