Arson Raynsford Walk, Warwick

Incident 171 of 10 June

Police have arrested a 24 year old man following a flat fire that occurred in Raynsford Walk, Warwick at approximately 12.45pm on Sunday 10 June.

Officers were alerted to the fire by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service who believe the fire was started deliberately.

The block of flats was evacuated and one female was taken to Warwick Hospital with breathing difficulties but was released following treatment last night (Sunday 10 June).

Officers investigating the arson are continuing to question the male this morning (Monday 11 June) and appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who can confirm who was in the communal area of the flats before the fire started or anyone who saw a person running from the flats towards Lock Lane.
