I joined West Midlands Police in 1997, and worked on the neighbourhood Policing team and the response teams within the Solihull areas. I also spent some time on a pain clothes vehicle team and trained in the use of covert surveillance. I transferred to Warwickshire Police in 2001 and worked on a uniformed response team based at Stratford. In 2003 I joined the SNT team at Stratford. In 2005 I was promoted and worked at Leamington spa in the role of custody Sergeant in the Custody Suite. In 2009 I came back to Stratford and worked as a reactive Police Sergeant. I have now taken the SNT sergeants role covering, Stratford, Wellesbourne and Southam areas. My teams are each covered by a beat manager, PCSO’s and Special Constables who address community issues. In my spare time I enjoy mountain walking which I have done in Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons.
I have been employed by Warwickshire Police as a PCSO since July 2004. I was initially posted to Alcester Police station and worked within the Alcester South SNT for 7 years mainly working in the communities of Bidford on Avon, Welford, Salford Priors, and many smaller villages and hamlets across a large rural area. I thoroughly enjoyed this role. In April 2011 due to reorganisation of the force I was transferred to work in Stratford town which has been challenging but I have learned much from this and gained some valuable experience from working in an urban area. I am very pleased to have been given the opportunity to work in a rural area once again and to serve under the Wellesbourne SNT from July 2012 I am looking forward to a new challenge, working within Wellesbourne and the wider area that the SNT covers. In my spare time I enjoy cycling and walking. I am also a keen scooterist with a particular interest in vintage vespa's and lambrettas.
SC 3733 James Burrow, joined Warwickshire Special Constabulary in Sept 2008. James worked from Stratford Police station on the emergency response teams. James moved to Wellesbourne SNT in May 2011, and is looking forward to working on a new team and the challenges of local community policing. In his spare time, James likes sports and playing guitar.
PC Butler joined the Wellesbourne team in September 2012 after spending several years working as the Beat Manager on the Southam team. In the past he has covered the Stratford area , including the Wellesbourne beat as a reactive officer responding to emergency calls. PC Butler is delighted to be managing a dedicated and proactive team , and is looking forward to the challenges ahead. In his spare time he can be found studying local archaeology and walking great distances with his dog.
