Two arrested on suspicion of burglary, Stratford

Officers arrested two people on suspicion of a burglary in Stratford-upon-Avon an hour after a person rang police at 2.40am on Monday 1 February after hearing a noise in their home in The Avenue, Bishopton.
The person stayed on the phone until officers arrived and helped secure their property.
Officers searching the area found some footprints in the snow and followed them from the rear of the house in the direction of St Peters Road and Meadow Sweet Road.
Shortly afterwards, officers arrested a 29 year old man on suspicion of burglary. A twenty-three year old man who was pushing a bike was also arrested on suspicion of burglary after he was stopped by officers.
Both men are currently in police custody awaiting questioning.
