The centre aims to be a first stop for local residents, providing easy and friendly access to information and advice, including houseing, employment, citizens advice, training advice and much more. Here there will be a base for local police officers where we shall be providing a drop in service (dates will be published on this site).
To help celebrate the opening of the Brownsover Community Information Centre you are invited to come along to an official launch on Monday 23rd June 2008 between 10am - 2pm. Here you will have an opportunity to make any suggestions about the services you would like to see available.
Police are urging parents not to buy off-road motorcycles for the summer. Anyone caught riding on or off-road illegally is likely to have their machine seized under Section 59 of the Road Traffic Act, which could lead to it being crushed.
The noise alone disturbs the neighbourhood but coupled with the potential danger to users and pedestrians, this sort of anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated in our communities.
Warwickshire police now have trained officers who patrol areas of grassland and wasteland targeting the illegal use of off-road vehicles and mini motorbikes. Regular operations have been and will be conducted in the Brownsover, Newbold and Benn areas. So far these have been successful and have lead to the disposal of a number of bikes.
