New Police drop-in centre
A new police drop-in centre will be opening its doors for the first time this Wednesday (7 November) in the Hillmorton area of Rugby. The centre, which is located in Rogers Hall in Deerings Road, Hillmorton will be open every Wednesday between 2pm and 3.30pm and will give local people easier access to their local Safer Neighbourhood team. PCSO Charlie Cawte from Rugby Town East Safer Neighbourhood Team says, "This new office is situated in the heart of the local community and we hope that people living or working locally will call in regularly to see us. "There will someone from the Safer Neighbourhood team on hand every Wednesday afternoon, ready to hear about any issue or concern that local people feel we should know about. "We will also have crime prevention booklets available and will be linking with our partner agencies to promote the services they offer. "We see this as an important step for Safer Neighbourhoods and hope that local people will make the most of this opportunity to get to know their local officers. By sharing information and understanding each other better, we really can make a difference in our local communities."
