A 22 year old man from Hillmorton was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court in relation to an incident last summer where he threatened a male with a firearm, and was also in possession of a knife in the street. Whilst the investigation was ongoing, the suspect committed an assault on his sister and also posted abusive messages about his ex-partner on Facebook, causing her to be harassed. He was further arrested in relation to these matters, and subsequently faced a number of charges in Court. He pleaded guilty to all charges put to him and was sentenced to 21 months in custody.

Officers of the Rugby Town East Safer Neighbourhood Team conducted a thorough investigation which was both time consuming and complex. Their hard work was rewarded with the successful prosecution of the young man.
