Community Priority -High visibility Patrols with a view to deterring Anti-social behaviour- Set December 2011
To carry out a minimum of 15 high visibility patrols in the area of Aldi and Sainsburys on Hillmorton Road, and the alleyway from Aldi carpark through to Featherbed Lane Rec, with a view to deterring anti-social behaviour.
Since December 2011, when the priority was set at the community forum meeting, numerous patrols have been conducted by the Safer Neighbourhoods team in the predetermined areas to combat the problems of anti-social behaviour. A report compiled following an interim review with both stores and their customers suggests that there has been a marked improvement in the areas since the intervention. Update 16/3/12 - 53 police patrols conducted and one youth arrested for theft and two others placed on ABC contracts. Their behaviour is being monitored by the police. The stores report improvement at location and introduction of new security measures.
