Stranger Danger Talks.
With the school holidays up and coming, the PCSO's of the Rugby Rural South team will be going in to schools and teaching them about Stranger Danger. This is purposely being conducted at the end of school terms to keep it fresh in the minds of children before they go off on there summer holidays. The talks in the schools will be just a friendly informal chat about what they think is a stranger and what to do in different situations. We hope to send the children off into their summer holidays with a knowledge of how to keep themselves safe.
If you would like anymore information on this subject then please contact PCSO 6119 Katie Winfield on 01788 541111 voicemail 16119 or e-mail on katie.winfield@warwickshire.pnn.police.uk

Birdingbury Festival
Birdingbury Festival Haydon had a weekend full of fun at the Birdingbury festival! The weather on the Saturday stopped people from coming but did not dampen peoples spirits. Where as the sunshine on the Sunday brought the people out in droves! The Main Street in Birdingbury was filled with stalls ranging from charity stalls to face painting and even a coconut shy. The Church had a beautiful display of flowers on show which had been made by local residents of the village. The main events were spread over two fields and this is where there were many fun things taking place. There was a fun fair for children of all ages, and even more stalls in the fields. People had brought along lots of different animals that could be looked at and touched such as alpacas, birds of prey, and even some beagles. The main events comprised of displays which were put on in the main arena. There were displays from army tanks, classic cars, tractors, motorbikes. These were all paraded around the arena and were then later judged. These vehicles could all be looked at and we were even lucky enough to get a sit in one of them! PCSO Katie Winfield and PCSO Judy Haydon both had a great time at the event and are already looking forward to next years festival!

SNT Sgt calls in at Parish Council meeting.
Whilst the rural team Sgt Karl Faulkner was on patrol walking around Birdingbury,he stopped and called in to say hello to the local Parish Council meeting that was going on at the time. The Parish Councillors were pleased to see Sgt Faulkner and welcomed him in to join the meeting. They were able to ask him questions if they had any and said how nice it was to see him walking around the village.
