The Rugby Rural Team have set up a new Operation to cover the rural area. This Operation has been set up to combat:

• Theft of motor vehicles.
• Theft from motor vehicles.
• Theft of diesel and scrap metal.

This Operation will involve random patrols of rural areas, stop checks by the Police and also by Customs and Excise. This Operation will be taking place over the coming months in the Rugby Rural South, Central and North areas.

This Operation has also started on a successful foot, with a car that was stolen in 2006 being recovered by Officers last week who were working on Operation Hardwick.
