There was a series of incidents throughtout December and in the New Year whereby small local shops were targetted by armed offenders with a view to stealing cash from the premises. In a joint operation between officers at Rugby, Bedworth and Coventry, 3 males were arrested and have since been charged with Conspiracy to Rob. They have appeared in Court and have been remanded into custody.

A further 2 males have been arrested in relation to 2 other incidents of a similar nature and, they too, have been charged and remanded into custody awaiting further Court hearings. These were very dangerous young men and it is testament to the hard work and dedication to the many police officers and support staff involved in the investigations.
