It is now three months since front offices services in Warwick were re-located at Shire Hall, and the public feedback is positive.

Nearly 200 customers have accessed the police services since they were transferred to Warwickshire Direct on December 7 as part of a groundbreaking initiative to make all public services available in one place.

Feedback from them is positive and includes comments such as "friendly and efficient" and "the staff are very understanding".

Warwickshire Police will continue to monitor public opinion through customer satisfaction surveys.

The policing services available at Warwickshire Direct, Shire Hall are:

Crime and incident reporting; road traffic collision reporting; document production; lost and found property; getting in touch with local officers and the safer neighbourhood teams; reporting anti-social behaviour and noise; applying for pedlars certificates; and firearms licences and making data protection requests.

The most popular services have been lost and found property, crime and incident reporting and document production.

The Warwick Safer Neighbourhoods Team has been proactive in engaging with the community to ensure as many people as possible know where policing services can be accessed.

Warwickshire Direct staff are also proactive in telling visitors to the building that policing services can be accessed at Shire Hall.

Inspector Emma Bastone said: "I am delighted with the transition to Warwickshire Direct. The staff are adapting very well to providing policing services and we are continuing to support them with this change. The relaxed customer friendly atmosphere at Shire Hall is exactly the environment we want for our customers when they need policing services. I hope more of the public use this facility in the future".
