Successful rural police operation
Between 6th and 10th October Rugby Rural SNT conducted a rural crime operation involving police officers, PCSO’s and the Automatic NumberPlate Recognition (ANPR) Team.
Over the course of five evenings, Rugby Rural SNT:
Arrested: Veh crime - 4 Assaults and theft - 2 Disqual driving - 1 Drink driving - 2 Other offences - 1 Caution for possession controlled subs - 1
Vehicles stopped by the ANPR team over two evenings:
- x Vehicles were stopped.
- x Arrests 2 x Vehs seized 4 x FPN for no Tax 4 x FPN for no MOT 1 x FPN for no Insurance
Chief Inspector Bob Musgrove said: "Whilst crime levels on the rural areas of Rugby Borough are low, this operation shows that Rugby police will commit resources to target those criminals travelling into these areas to commit crime. I am very pleased that the officers and PCSO's on the operation achieved excellent results as a reward for their hard work and commitment."
