Old March 08: Speeding through Pailton Village
The Fosse locality panel meeting held in March highlighted that speeding through Pailton village is the main safety concern in the area. It was felt that Coventry Road is the most important area to concentrate on.
This issue has been discussed with the camera enforcement team, who now regularly place a high visibility speed camera van in the village. This van is able to issue speeding convictions, which will be sent through the post, and carry a minimum penalty of 3 points and a fine. Police number plate recognition cameras are also being used in the area which flag up vehicles which are being used on the roads without the correct documentation. PCSO's have also requested the use of hand held speed camera guns.
