Old June 08: Speeding through Villages
The Fosse locality panel meeting held in June highlighted the speeding through alot of the rural villages which is a safety concern for local residents. Villages for us to concentrate on are Wolvey, Stretton Under Fosse, Pailton, Monks Kirby and Harborough Magna.
This issue is being regularly enforced by the camera enforcement team who regularly place high visibility speed camera vans in villages. The police number plate recognition cameras are also being used in the area's to flag up vehicles which are being used on the roads without the correct documentation. We are still in discussion with Warwickshire County Council about acquiring several hand held speed camera guns for use by rural PCSO's and local residents.
