Police appeal for witnesses to aggravated burglary, Wolston
Incident 314 of 24 January 2012
Police are appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary that occurred in School Street, Wolston at approximately 8.45pm on Tuesday 24 January 2012.
Five men are believed to have approached the property from the rear before booting the back door in and threatening a male and female inside the home.
The male occupant was assaulted. He suffered a broken jaw and was treated at hospital.
The men stole electrical items and cash.
Officers arrived very quickly at the scene and an ambulance was called to assess and treat the man's injuries.
A police dog team tracked the route the offenders took to near the alley on Abbots Walk and officers believe this is where the offenders may have parked their car.
Officers are checking CCTV footage and appealing for any witnesses to the burglary or who may have seen the men or a vehicle near Abbots Walk on Tuesday evening.
