RRC welcomes new team member and bids fond farewell to another The Rugby Rural North, Central and South policing teams have welcomed Special Constable (SC) Robert Forsyth who has joined the Rural SNT's to assist with community policing in the area.

At the same time, Rugby Rural Central has said a fond farewell to PCSO Lauren De Wet 6153 who is moving on the Town Centre SNT.
The responsibility for the Ryton on Dunsmore Ward has now passed onto PCSO Eleanor Batty 6143 as a replacement for PCSO De Wet.

Anti Social Behaviour Improves In Wolston
Anti Social Behaviour Improves In Wolston Anti social behaviour has dropped by 64% in Wolston in the previous three months compared to the figures collated in the previous three months to January 2008. Similarly, criminal damage reports have halved since February 2008.

This drop can be attributed to the dispersal order, continued high visibility patrols by its local Safer Neighbourhood Team and community engagement with the local young people.
The high visibility presence from the Rugby Rural Safer Neighbourhood teams will continue.

PCSO Ken Wyer says Engaging the local youths from Wolston in organised sport events has had a positive impact on their behaviour.

Mobile Police Station
Mobile Police Station The Mobile Police Station has had positive reviews so far from those that have visited it.

On Sunday 27th April 2008, PCSO's aboard the MPS in Coombe Abbey were alerted to a suspicious male who, once checked was found to be a vulnerable missing person from Warwick. He was returned safely to his home address.

If you see the Mobile Police Station parked up in a village near you please don't hesitate to come and meet those on board!
We welcome comments, queries, questions, concerns and any feedback you may have.

The MPS timetable can be found on the calendar section of the Rugby Rural North, Central and South websites.

Operation Oaklands Update
Operation Oaklands Update The Rugby Rural North, Central and South SNT's have all been involved with Operation Oakland in April and May 2008. This operation was set up to look at recent problems that Brandon Wood Farm and the surrounding woods were having with relation to anti social behaviour, criminal damage, theft and the setting of fires.

A group of youths were found within the Farm ground on the evening of 10th May 2008 and disturbed. They fled the scene leaving knives behind which have now been seized.

This Operation will continue in this area for an indefinate period of time and updates will be posted shortly.
Warwickshire Police are working very closely with Friends of Brandon Woods in order to combat this unacceptable activity.

If you have any information or have seen anything suspicious in this area please contact Rugby Police Station on 01788 541111.
