Rugby Borough Council has welcomed four new Community Safety Wardens to the existing team.

The Community Safety Warden (CSW) scheme was set up by RBC to assist the police tackle anti social behaviour amongst young people and to help in identifying the causes of such behaviour.

The CSW's are a separate entity to Warwickshire Police and PCSO's however very often work together to tackle problems with anti social behaviour.

On the evening of Monday 3rd March 2008, Rugby Rural SNT along with colleagues from other departments within Warwickshire Police played football against the youths from Wolston whose ages range between 13 and 19 years old.

The match was played at Rugby School's sports pitch and was thoroughly enjoyed by all those involved.

The Warwickshire Police off road policing team again visited the area of Brandon Woods on Saturday 8th March 2008 to proactively patrol the area with regard to the off road vehicle nuisance the area frequently suffers from.

Riders who wish to practice their sport are reminded that they are not permitted to use private land without express written permission from the landowner. This applies to Brandon Woods, Piles Coppice and the surrounding areas.

Rugby Rural SNT would like to hear from anyone who may have any information leading to the identification of those who have caused costly damage to property in and around Binley Woods in recent months.
