PCSO's take positive action against off road motorbikes
Over the weekend of Saturday 4th - Sunday 5th August, eight (8) Section 59 warnings were issued by PCSO's whilst out on routine patrol.
Seven were issued to riders using the Brandon Woods area and one was issued in Long Lawford.
A Section 59 notice is a warning issued to the rider and the vehicle whose details are then entered onto the Police National Computer. This means if the rider or the vehicle are caught a second time riding in a manner that causes alarm, harassment or distress or they are riding on an area that is not legal for them to do so they risk having the vehicle seized.
The areas of Brandon Woods, Piles Coppice and the Old Fruit Farm are regularly patrolled by officers and those using the area illegally risk having their bikes seized.
PS Steve Childs "This is excellent work by PCSO's who are demonstrating their commitment and determination to reduce antisocial behaviour so that the public can enjoy the countryside safely".
