Further Action Against Off Road Motorbikes
On Sunday 13th January 2008 the Police Off Road Motorbikes paid a visit to the Brandon Woods, Piles Coppice and Fruit Farm area.
Six Section 59 notices were served on riders found to be riding their off road vehicles in the area.
Section 59 (Police Reform Act 2002) notices are served on those causing alarm, harrassment or distress with their vehicles. This applies to public or private land.
Brandon Woods, Piles Coppice, the Fruit Farm and the surrounding fields are all privately owned. This means riders require express written permission from the landowner to ride on private land.
Warwickshire Police would like to remind riders that they risk seizure of their vehicles should they commit the above offences.
