After two and a half years at Little Park Street in the city centre he moved to the specialist Operational Support Unit, where he undertook specialist searching, public order and sporting event policing. After 3 years he returned to Coventry and became a neighbourhood officer for the New Deal for Communities in the Wood End / Henley Green area of NE Coventry. After 6 years in that post he undertook the role of Acting Sergeant within the area, the neighbouring Stoke area and also on the response team at Stoney Stanton Road. He transferred to Warwickshire Police in June 2009, where he has been a reactive officer for the rugby area. He took over from Sergeant Faulkner on 9th November.

I have been in the rural team since my appointment in Spring 2007 and am very happy to be involved with a rural community. After a successful two years working in the FOSSE ward, I am now working in the Lawford and King's Newnham Ward. I start my working day at Rugby Police Station before heading out for a shift of: foot patrols, cycle patrols, community engagement, offering crime prevention and reduction advice, welfare checks and making local enquiries.
Tom has been a member of the Rugby Rural Central team since December 2009. Tom covers Ryton On Dunsmore.
Matt has been a member of the Rugby Rural Central team since August 2009. Matt covers the areas of Binley Woods, Brandon and Bretford.
Joined Warwickshire Police in 2002 and has worked in various roles, including response officer, part of force wide proactive traffic team a plain clothed proactive unit and has worked on other safer neighbourhood teams within Rugby.
Robert joined the force in May 2006 at the tender age of 18 and has every intention of joining as a police constable at some point in the future. He has mainly worked reactive during these two and a bit years and is looking forward to working the rural area as it is a more proactive and community led style of policing instead of just reacting to incidents. During the day Robert works for a computer organisation in their national distribution centre (NDC). Robert would recommend being a Special Constable to anyone considering it, it is a fantastic way to put something positive back into the community.
Theresa has been with Warwickshire Police for nearly 10 years. She began as a reactive officer for 3 years and then became a community beat officer for the Benn ward, then Ryton and has been the local officer for Wolston for 2 years now. Before joining Warwickshire Police she was a postie in Rugby where she found she enjoyed being out in the community communicating with residents and decided to go for a change of uniform. Every opportunity out of work she carries out some form of exercise including football, rounders, the gym and can be seen all over rugby walking a large hyper active dog called 'Pluto'!
Simon has been a police officer with Warwickshire Police for nearly 5 years and covers Binley Woods, Brandon and Lawford. Prior to joining Warwickshire police he worked for a mountain bike manufacturer whilst waiting to get into the Police, and previous to this served in the Royal Air Force for a period of time. He began his Police career on reactive at Rugby and completed two year probation period was then assigned to a Police Operation dealing with prolific offenders in the Overslade area of Rugby for three months. Following this he went on to join the Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team in April 2006 and has been on the team ever since.
Ken has been a PCSO for 2 years and has previously worked all over the Rugby Rural area. He is now responsible for Wolston. Ken is a keen footballer and has arranged community football matches between the emergency services and the local youths.
