NHW NB Distraction burglary in Cheery Tree Ave & theft from garden in Beverley Ave, Nuneaton

Please be aware of the following incidents which have occurred at homes in your area over recent days.

Incident 254 of 15 June
At just before 4pm on 15 June two males entered a home in Cheery Tree Avenue, Nuneaton and stated that they were from the council.

The resident of the house asked the males for identification but both males ignored the request and walked into the house.

The males told the resident that they were they to do the windows and doors before taking an amount of cash and saying that they would return on Monday.

Incident 86 of 19 June
During the night of 18 into 19 June offenders stole 15 Bonsai trees, in posts, from the rear garden of a home in Beverley Avenue, Nuneaton.

If you have information that you believe may be connected to either of these incidents please contact Police on 101 quoting the incident number given. Please also remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity around your own or neighbouring homes and please report anything of concern to Police on 101.

Please also remember that you do not have to allow anyone you do not know, or are not expecting, into your homes. Reputable companies or the council will make an appointment for their officials to attend. If in doubt do not open the door and ask the caller to return at a time that you can have a friend or relative with you.
