Please can we make you aware that there have been a couple of sneak in burglaries at homes in Hayle Close and Newquay Close since 19 September. On each occasion the offender has gained entry into the houses via unlocked rear or side doors and has stolen handbags, cash etc.

These burglaries have happened in mid-afternoon and late evening times and it would appear that the offenders are using the old railway line that borders the Horeston Grange estate to access the area and to escape as some of the stolen items have been found abandoned there.

All residents are reminded of the need to ensure that they lock their doors even when they are at home and to report any suspicious persons they see in their street, to the police, at the time they see them.
