Bogus Callers Run From House, Nuneaton

A Nuneaton couple forced bogus callers from their home, after they had realised they were not genuine workers.
The couple, aged 88 and 83 years, were watching television at their home in the Whitestone area of Nuneaton at around 9.15pm on Thursday evening when they received a knock on the door.
The husband answered the door and was met by a male who claimed their next door neighbour had had a flood and that he needed to check the pressure tap in their house.
The elderly man lead the caller through to the kitchen, where the workman told him to empty the cupboard under the sink.
hearing what was going on hs wife, who had remained in the loving room, became suspicious and went into the hallway and told the stranger to leave their house. She then saw two other men had entered the house and were upstairs.
She screamed at them , whereupon a fourth man came in through the front door and all four men ran from the house, leaving the area in a black car.
Nothing is believed to have been stolen from the house.
The four are described as white males aged from their late teens to their early 20s.
One was approx 5ft 5inches tall and was wearing a high visibility jacket with a black strap across the right side.
His accomplice was 5ft 6inches tall, slim build and wearing a brown cap with a long sleeved brown top and dark jeans.
Male three was in his late teens 5ft 9inches - 5ft 10 inches, slim and wearing a black cap, denim jacket and dark trousers.
the fourth male was in his early 20s, 5ft 9inches tall and of stocky build. He was wearing a leather cap, waering a waist length leather jacket and dark trousers.
