On Saturday 25th February 2012, PC Iain Sherwin and PCSO Natash Malone were patrolling the areas of Whittleford Park and the Fields behind the Stockingford Community Centre in response to ongoing concerns about the illegal use of off road motorbikes.

During that patrol a small off road bike was seen being used by a male youth, who tried to evade the officers. Shortly afterwards, a group of youths was stopped in the field as it was believed that they were associates of the person on the bike. These individuals are now subject to further police investigation regarding their involvement with the bike.

The area was searched and the motorbike was discovered in nearby bushes. The bike has been examined and it has been confirmed it was recently stolen locally and the owner has been informed.
A name for the male on the bike has now been given to the police and he is being dealt with in relation to the offences committed.
