Police in Nuneaton are appealing for witnesses to a violent affray which took place in the vicinity of the Premier Stores in Edward Street, Nuneaton on Friday evening about 8.40pm. (5 March)

Two males aged 24 years and 25 years were taken to the University Hospital Coventry following the incident in which a number of people, some wearing balaclavas, are reported to have been involved in a fight.

Police are keen to hear form anyone who was in the vicinity in order to establish the events leading up to the disturbance.

Anyone who witnessed the disturbance, or who saw anything out of the ordinary in the location from about 8pm onwards is asked to contact DC Vin Dhokia at Nuneaton police Station on 02476 641111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
