The winter nights are drawing in and christmas shall soon be upon us. This type of year is always exciting, however it also brings its challenges to our Safer-Neighbourhood Team. Every year we are faced with our Winter Burglary attacks, and each time we strive to decrease the number of offences that occur. We have found over the years that due to the darker nights, we have a rise in the amount of burglaries that are attempted or take place within the communities we patrol. This is due lack of lighting within properties thus giving the appearance of empty houses. Also like previously mentioned, having christmas upon us, decorations shall be up and trees shall be laiden with presents. This is a prime target for Burglars and Theives. To combat this we have been conducting Operation Antrobus, which includes extra High Visabilty patrols and leaflet drops, assisted kindly by Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators and councillors. We as a Safer-Neighbourhood Team, often work closely with other agencies to maintain the safety of residents within our communites and from that have achieved some great results.

Bedworth East SNT are now into the third/fourth month of the new changes made to Warwickshire Police Force.
To begin with, we found the changes made within the force a little difficult as we lost a few members of the team and others moved onto different departments. However over the weeks, our team has worked extremely hard and achieved some brilliant results. The team is now comprised of 1 Segeant, 1 Police Constable/Beat Manager and 6 PCSO's. Our aim is to combat all types of crime and work within our communities to maintain the safety and welfare of its residents.
Our work ethic has always been to strive for the best results possible and therefore will look forward to the future and what the changes have to hold.
