Pubs hit in drugs raids
BEDWORTH EAST SNT ran an operation to target PUBS as part of drugs raids aimed at stopping communities suffering from violent crime and anti-social behaviour.
They were joined by a Police Support Unit, which boasted 22 police officers, evidence gatherers, dogs units and two Police Community Support Officers (PCSO).
The squad first hit the White Lion pub in Bulkington and officers arrested three men, all aged in their early 20s, on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B drugs.
The team then targeted the Lord Raglan pub in Exhall and two men, also aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs with intent to supply.
The Operation was formulated after concerns were raised by local residents within the Bedworth East SNT area. As a result of the sting on Friday, January 29, two men were given cautions for possession of a Class B drug and three others have been bailed pending further enquiries.
