Neighbourhood Watch welcomes a new Bedworth Estate into the scheme

During April the Bedworth and Bulkington Neighbourhood Watch team working with PCSO's Khane Barlow and David Marshall from the Bedworth East Safer Neighbourhood Team , have been visiting Chamberliane Street, Bedworth along with the mobile police station, to build community links and encourage local residents to join a  local Neighbourhood Watch group.

To advertise the community events and encourage people to come along, Khane and Dave posted leaflets through  doors throughout the neighbourhood advertising when and where the mobile police station would be and inviting people to pop along to meet their local PCSO's and Neighbourhood Watch representatives.

The evening visits provided an opportunity for residents to learn about crime prevention and how by taking some simple steps they can help themselves in protecting their homes and valuables.

Residents also learned how by becoming more involved community matters, and  by going to community forums they can have a personal voice about local issues and the decisions about where they live, and the issues that directly affect themselves and their neighbours.
