Victims of Rogue Traders urged to come forward, North Warwickshire
Police in North Warwickshire are urging anyone who believes they have been the victim of a rogue trader to report it.
Between Wednesday June 30 and Friday July 2, forms for residents to complete will be available from the front offices at Atherstone and Coleshill police stations.
Atherstone Inspector, Paul Barnsley said: “Anyone who has been affected by this crime or believes that someone close to them has suffered from such incidents, are invited to complete a form. The information gathered will help Warwickshire Police and local agencies to identify repeat offenders, plus any emerging patterns on how they operate, further protecting communities from harm. Details will also be passed to trading standards for further investigation.”
Rogue Traders often seek to take advantage of vulnerable members in the community by "cold calling" and claiming unnecessary work needs to be completed. The work is often overpriced and of poor quality.
